Hamlet Graphic Novel panel Process

Here is my process in creating a single panel from the graphic novel, Hamlet. This version of the story was made by the Arden Shakespeare, which used Q2 as it's copy text.

First I create a layout (or several) of how I want the panel to look. (sorry the picture is not the greatest :L)
Note how simplistic this is.

Next, I do another layout in the digital medium.

Then I do a layer I call 'lines', which is a more detailed rendition of the subject.

Finally, and for the rest of the panel, I steadily fill in and shade the subjects and 'props'.

Hamlet scene Speedpaint

Here is a speedpaint I made for my Shakespeare seminar class. Sorry there isn't any music, I didn't want to get into any copyright issues.

This version of the text was taken from the Arden Shakespeare's Hamlet, which uses Q2 as its copy text.
