This ink well is almost used up. Luckily they are easy to get refills for. The top nib is the 'metal tip' (conical) and the lower one is the 'needle tip', which I prefer.

Pen & Pencil Review Opener

  So I'm going to try something new and review writing utensils. It's something I've always wanted to do because I love writing and tend to go through a lot of utensils while doing it. And there's so many different brands and types of writing utensils! I actually started making review pages back in 2015 just because I wanted to find out and document what my favorite ones were. What you will see is a listing of pros and cons, and then final thoughts about the pen or pencil overall. You'll also see a general test at the very top. It took me a little while to find out the best presentation of tests (you'll notice in 2015 I didn't quite have as much information/consistency as I do now). Now I do some line tests, eraser tests, and smear tests.

  Apart from loving writing and writing utensils, I've always loved to read other reviewers' take on their pens or pencils. I'm planning on focusing on both the mundane and more 'stylish' utensils in order to provide information on more affordable or available options as well. It's a quest to find utensils that work, are comfortable, and write. :)
