Cody's Stealth Armor Close-Ups

Well, here are the final close ups of Cody's stealth armor. It is currently hanging on my dorm wall right now so if you notice some random brick in the background that's my wall. X) I was just too lazy to take it down. ;p Also I realized that one might mistake Cody for being some sort of super skinny person because of what appears to be his ribs showing. However, this is not the case (Cody is an average, healthy guy right now). What one might mistake for ribs are actually a flexible supports that resemble ribs but are actually to protect his sides from injuries and stuff like that.

So yeah, this was pretty much me practicing how to draw muscles and stuff proportionally. Sorry if you can't read my handwriting. It is a little sloppy and gives away a few 'spoilers' for one of my books (not 'big' spoilers though). I do a lot of drawings that are 'from' my books. If you are writing and also know how to draw or would like to learn how to draw, this is a good way to get into sketching. Because you know what your characters look like and the places they're in it really helps give you a passion for drawing, while also helping you to visualize and keep track of features. (Like Cody's scar is on the left side of his face or Captain Ty has two great big scars running around the back of his head.) It's also just fun to see things that live inside your head come out on paper. XD Enjoy!

More clone drawings - Captain Rex

Here's a 'quick sketch' I drew of Captain Rex striking an epic pose over winter break. It is also from the How to Draw CW book. You may notice the 'ghosts' of a funny speech bubble was originally in the place where Rex's right leg is now. I had to erase it because the other pose I was going to have him do wasn't working out (I think he was leaping or something). The instructions for this drawing exercise were to just trace over the stick figure so one could get a sense of how to to construct a proportional body. Well, I got excited and drew all of Rex too! 8D Which is pretty surprising, for me, because I usually can't copy objects or pictures that well. Also, it was good practice drawing a clone who has different armor than the one I usually draw (Cody). X} Enjoy!

Clone Drawing (from how to draw CW book :)

Here's something I drew over winter break this year. It's from a Clone Wars drawing book that showed you how to draw stuff step by step. I didn't really need help drawing clones (cuz, if you know me, that's pretty much the only thing I draw all the time!) but I thought it would be interesting to see if I could actually follow the steps. ;D The little 'floating' head on the left is my Private Daniel (character from my book) and he's just giving the drawing a 'thumbs up'. I used some greyscale markers and just a regular old mechanical pencil to do this.

More of "WHY CLONES?"

http://www.starwars.com/watch/the_clone_wars_season2_clones.html

This really hits the 'nail on the head'. It covers some things I couldn't explain very well in "Why Clones" the first time around. :P Really listen to what Mr. Baker has to say about them, it's so true. Maybe I'll write a bit more later or something (if I think of something else to say. :).

Toyz Noize (a Pogo cover by Alvin)

This is pretty awesome. The Pogo remix is so cool as it is, but I couldn't imagine anyone being able to actually replicate the notes and rhythms this accurately and still have it sound as amazing as the original version.
